I LOVE THIS BOOK!

Did I cry? Yes, I did.
Me, the tough chick, who loves thriller and horror, got emotional. And I loved it. There are only a few books (and believe me, I read a lot of books) that really got me crying.
This book struck me right through the heart. It ‘s a story that makes you feel with the Kerns and on every page you wonder where the story will lead you to. Thank you, Marie, for giving me this experience and I hope you will write another book. At least I would like to say that I can feel through the book what a wonderful person you are, which I knew before, but it comes out through your writing, too.
I LOVE THIS BOOK!

Love And Redemption

Marie Currie was at one time a rock artist. She and her twin sister, Cherie, performed and recorded some music together and appeared on many television variety shows. Marie and her sister were featured in the comedy film Rosebud Beach Hotel. She also worked as a mortgage banker for a while. The last several years Marie has been creating mosaic guitars and crosses that she sells on esty and through Facebook

About four years ago, Marie added a new item to her list of talents. She wrote a novel. And not a novel that has anything to do with rock music or that type of life. The novel is a spiritual journey for one family.

The title of the novel is The Narrow Road of Light. It was self-published.

The beginning characters in the novel are Robert and Samantha Kerns. Having met in college, they fell in love and got married. They tried for several years to start a family, but to no avail. Finally, when all hope was lost to start a family, a miracle happened.

This miracle is a baby girl that the Kerns find at the bottom of a rainbow after a storm. The story follows the journey of the Kerns as they try to do the right thing give the baby over to the authorities. But they want to keep the baby, if they are allowed to. In the end, they get to bring the baby girl home. They name her Angel.

The author vividly describes the actions that the characters take in the novel. At first I wasn’t too sure if this was going to be a hindrance to the flow of the book. But Marie makes it work well. Also vivid are the descriptions of the New England coast line and other surrounding areas where the novel takes place.

Over time, various situations and circumstances arise that make the Kerns feel that Angel is indeed an exceptional child. A cancer ridden grandmother, an ailing dog, a deceptive reporter and a neighbor boy with an extraordinary illness all play prominent roles in the story.

The core themes of the novel are unrelenting love and redemption. Although it doesn’t fall under the normal confines of a faith based novel, there are definite parallels.

I really enjoyed The Narrow Road of Light. The author makes the characters seem real and, for the most part, endearing. Marie Currie has written a very enjoyable and spiritual appealing novel.

An exceptional book!

There are few books that I have enjoyed as much a this one. I literally read it in one sitting.
The author has done an excellent job in developing the characters while keeping the story interesting. Quickly you feel that you “know” each of the characters and you get pulled into the story.
I ran through the whole spectrum of emotions as the story unfolded. I was kept guessing on how the story would play out which kept my interest peaking for the whole read.
The ending was written so well that I really don’t have words to express my feelings.
“Hats Off” to Marie for an exceptional book!

A spiritual moment for me!

First and foremost, I am not a person who reads fictional books. When I heard the hype about this one I just had to read it. I have always been a fan of Marie Currie. When I first started to read it, the wording being so vivid, I found myself wrapped around the characters and their surroundings. My emotions started to rise as I read on. It almost felt like you were right there with them. While still reading on it became a spiritual moment for me. With the ups and downs playing with my emotions, I found myself crying my eyes out at the end. To me, this is a master piece of work. I would love to see another book from Marie. If anyone can be so detailed and with a vision, Marie is the one.

This is where you’ll be taken while reading Marie Currie’s wonderful book. She weaves a story of mystery that turns to enchantment and every page is a pleasure, leaving you anxious to turn to the next. She writes in the present, which makes you feel you are there in the story watching and feeling each character’s reactions and emotions. She spins a tale of family, friends and love and the roller coaster of life that has many unexpected turns. Truly magic, warm and a very special story that will leave you filled with hope and happiness.

What a wonderful read!

This is a tough world we live in…it can sometimes feel very negative, so it’s amazing to find such a beautiful story that does not try to shock and awe you (which seems to be the norm (these days). Instead this story absolutely fills you with peace. I know that everyone will find a message. Without giving anything away, I will say the ending touched me so deeply and for that, I thank you Marie. A MUST read!
